Funeral held for prostitute allegedly killed by 'Crossbow Cannibal'

The devastated mum of a prostitute allegedly murdered by "Crossbow Cannibal" Stephen Griffiths read a touching poem at a moving funeral for her daughter held next to the primary school she attended as a young girl.

Suzanne Blamires, 36, was one of three women criminology student Griffiths is accused of killing. An inquest opening into her death heard she died from an injury inflicted by a crossbow.

Almost a hundred people gathered to say goodbye to the tragic vice girl, including brave mum Nicky and younger brother Luke.

The hour-long service began just after 11am as the funeral director led a hearse carrying a number of pretty floral tributes, two grey Irish horses with pink plumes attached to their heads, a horse-drawn hearse with her white coffin inside and a five car cortège.

Griffiths, 40, has been charged with killing Suzanne, 31-year-old Shelley Armitage - whose funeral has already been held - and 43-year-old Susan Rushworth, who has not been found.
